La camara bonita es mia well I wish.....

My mom got a new little OLYPUS fe-350 wide off e-bay. Umm so how much do I love this brand of camera!? I have played with many a friends' camera on choir tour and else where and found that OPYMPUS is by far the best brand. A friend of mine has one a few years old but it still has better anti shake, shutters settings, and whatnot than some of our other friends' new models from other brands. Apparently this isn't the most expensive brand which is nice but its cameras take some pretty stinkin awsome pics! Now all we need is a memory card so I can take a gonzillion er so mom can take a gozillion pictures.

I now know what brand I am gonna buy when I invest in my beautiful slr or dslr or whatever is the biggest and bestest for my needs. Yahooo! Ya so I am just a bit excited. But who knows when I will bother buyin the silly thing. I don't need to buy anything. I need to save my money. I am going to be a poor college student next year. Don't spend money Lady. Save it girl, save it!

Psalm 19

Psalm 19
The Works and the Word of God.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
1The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
3There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
4Theirline has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world
In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
6Its rising is from one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.
10They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11Moreover, by them Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward.
12Who can discern his errors?
Acquit me of hidden faults.
13Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins;
Let them not rule over me;
Then I will be blameless,
And I shall be acquitted of great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

Pride

Written by a friend........
Have you ever noticed how prideful you can get? I’m going to bet that you haven’t. There were a few messages I’ve heard on the same passage recently and that was 1 Peter 5:5-7. It compared pride and humility with each other, and showed that they are direct opposites. When you’re humble you can’t be prideful and prideful you can’t be humble.
Verse 5 says that we are to be humble as young men are to be submissive to the elders. We are to clothe ourselves in humility towards one another because God will oppose the proud, but give grace to the humble.
So how do we become humble? Verse 6 says that we are to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift us up in due time. Then in verse 7 we are to cast all our anxiety on him because he cares for you.
What is this all saying then? It’s simple really. It’s saying that we can’t be humble until we cast our anxieties on God. We as a fallen people are so prideful and arrogant that when we don’t give our worries to God we’re saying that He is NOT big enough or powerful enough to handle our problems. When we worry we’re being prideful.
If we are a fallen people then why would God want us to cast our worries on him and become humble? In verse 7 it says we are to cast our anxieties on him because He CARES for YOU. If you’re worried about something, anything at all, so is He. He wants to carry that burden for you because He can. God is good, and He loves you.
We need to trust that God will work everything out the way it is to be done and give Him that worry.
I’ve rambled quite a bit, but I think I got my point across.

What used to be quite fun is becoming rather tedious

I got a new calulator today. My TI-84 scares me. I can't get it to do what it should do. The tan function isn't anything all that spectacular. My dinky pinkish one can do it correctly! I gues I will learn. The manuel for the thing is viii + 216 pages long.

I have done some algebra today. Yipee. Joy and ecstasy. Tomorrow I am off to Spanish by Lana and the rest of this week I am goin to be diligently studyin' my ACT test prep book. I've got to find it first. That'll be what I do after this.

Children's church went well again Sunday. The number of kids we have is up and we have new first graders. The did a pretty good job of participating and behaved pretty good. I was proud of them. I think I am going to have to get a fill in the blank slide made so that they will really learn Ps. 1. We, I, forgot to put up the slide so they had a quick review of it at the end of CC. Next time we are going to learn verse 3. I hope that the kids will get this ingrained into their brain.

Mom is making leftover soup for dinner. I think it is going to be really yummy.

Well I best be off. Talk to me peoples. What is up with ya'll?

Colie is home and has already had her first done of Taco Bell. Her flight was again delayed so she didn't land until 9:45ish. But at least this time it was a delay in the states.

As it turns out the Brits wanted to hold em for another day but, b/c they have a wonderful GS counselor person, a fit was pitched and they traveled to a different airport borded, a different plane, and were transported over the big blue pond.

I will have to let her tell you her flight patter for I don't know it. All I know was that I bounce the whole way to the airport and basically the entire time we waited for her to arrive. Yes, I do love my Colie.

Missa Lyn this post is for you.....

What has happened in the not so distant past? My grandpa is back in the state that holds his home. He and his evil dog came a visited our house the day after he got back. Ok so fine the dog isn't evil but I don't like dogs, in general that is, I like Gabe.

Brandon, my eventual BiL, is a new father of a fat little black cat that came from the Danari back yard. He loves his Scout probably b/c his girl does. I don't know he may holds some affection for the animal itself. He is the one in the family that actually likes cats. Everyone else seems to get a kick out of them though. Apparently she is fat and stupid and when she rolls over she cant' get up.

Nicoley~Oly (I'm sure she loves that name) will not be back in the country for a while. :( It makes me very saddy. I do believe that her parents are traveling home today after being on a attending-cousin's-wedding vacation. I hope to hear how that went soon.

Jelly Bean has a new dress made out a big boy's shirt. The pattern we saw online made it out of a men's M shirt. Tis very cute. I would post a pic but it isn't easy to do that with mom's camera and who knows where Lienardo's is.

Today my Nana called and asked if I wanted to do lunch. I, of course, love doing lunch and so we went. We tried a new place " Joe's Italian Grill". The good things that we heard about this restaurant were all true but you must not be a poor man to eat there. Lunch for the two of us was $15. I guess that isn't too bad but that was lunch prices and I don't have money. So if you wanna go someplace really good for something special, try it!

Mom forgot to turn on the oven thus we are eating Pizza for dinner.

I had a headache all day. I tried sleeping it off but even sleep and the meds couldn't make it go away. Yuck.

We have a new addition to our household today! Two speckled gecko's joined our ranks. They happen to like wild rollie pollies. Yes, cheap food for ugly beasties.

Heath and her family came to our church on Sunday night b/c the air in their is out and they canceled evening service. She and I sat together and then both of our family's went to Braums afterward. Our mom's are planning some sort of family get together. The dad's said "Time to go" and the mom's pretty much said " Do we have to?". Ya know I thought that was kids line but maybe I am wrong. I guess they were having as good a time as the rest of us.

I was supposed to get off the computer a couple of paragraphs ago so I am going to end with that. Was this good enough Missa Lyn?

:smooch:
