Snow, sewage, and fly pockets

Today snow fell down in big beautiful flakes. This afternoon we kids went outside and played in it. I got a few pics of the littles which you see below.

Yeah Ha! My sewage paper is mostly done. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I wrote the body of my paper today. I have yet to write an itroductory and concluding paragraph and I need to put my bibliography on the computer but the hard part is done. Joy and exstacy. After everything is put on the computer my mom will help me with the ginormous task of editing. How is it that words sound correct in my mind but no one elses? Alas, maybe one day I shall learn how to express myself in an informative paper to the understanding of others without having to write the paper twice. Mind you, I will have to basically rewrite the whole paper to edit it fully. ;) Oh yeah, after all that work today I found out that our deadline was pushed out a week! Snapdragons. Oh well. At least mine is almost done!

Beanie came to mom today saying "pocket" with her hand down her unzipped jean fly. Mom proceeded to tell her that wasn't a pocket but she insisted and thus pulled out a stick that was as long as her little leg from her fly "pocket"!

Tomorrows bookday was canceled. I am disapointed but at the same time I am glad I have a day to finnish the paper. I was stressing cause today was the only day to get it done. Then, of course,I heard of the deadline change. Saturday I am going to a prom fair. I think it is like a bridal fair but I have never been to one (prom) so I don't know. I am going with Heath and her mom. Then that night is youth fellowship at the Noom's. ;D

Today was coop sign ups. My modesty class is full. I have 10 students. Week one is next week and I still haven't looked at the curriculum. I might ought to get on that.

I have been studying for the ACT. I feel sickish. But I am going to pretend this is a $29 practice test. :-()

My spell check isn't working. That is no good. Pictures anyone? Ok neither is my picture uploader thing. No pictures right now. Snapdragons!

p.s. I know that is spelled wrong. I did it on purpose.

Shoudl I even use this thing?

The other day we looked around and didn't know where J. Alan went. We began our search and Wounded Soldier found him in the bathroom on the potty asleep. Yes ladies and gents, my little brother fell asleep on the potty. Poor thing didn't get the nap he should have and was tired.
p.s. I just spell checked this thing and guess what.. I didn't have any misspelled words. Wow. I just had to look one up though. Misspell. But it turns out I spelled it right!

I am 83% dixie

Did you know that liquid cascade and scotch brite scrubbers are quite effective in getting hot pink fingernail polish off bathroom floor tiles?

Did you know that the magic eraser and the scotch brite scrubber both will take off all the wall paint around a patch of "polnialish"?

Did you know that you can use OPI fingernail polish to paint metal effectively?
It is quite durable.

Did you know that Onix professional fingernail polish remover does not take polnailish off of fingernails or the wall?

Learn all this and more when you get up in the morning and accidentally drop and break a bottle of OPI fingernail polish all over your bathroom floor! ;D

School

Lana brought Tony to class today so I was able to give her the CD I talked about in person. It was a welcome surprise. We were 'sposed to have reviewed in class today but instead with had children who melted pennies. I say a waste of money! One cent is yet one cent. While the fire entertained some, I listened to Mr. Herb tell stories. Good stories they were too.

Our assignment, write a research paper on water, the sewage system, or soap. It was to be done in a week but I begged and it was extended to two. Thankyou Mr. Herb! Mom was shocked when I told her he had wanted it in a week. For all you college students that probably would have been no big deal but for the rest of us it would have been be a tremendous feat to accomplish. Especially since none of us are familiar at all with any of things that we must write about.

We have an extra at our house. He came home with us yesterday after church and is to be one of us till tomorrow morning. He is not used to being in a house where you must be in the least bit quiet. If one has ever been to my house you know that we don't live in a quiet home. He is a good kid just not used to having to play with others who are younger than he is. Oh and he doesn't like our food. He went four meals without eating. (When asked he said he would eat the food and doesn't complain.) He threw up the oatmeal this morning. It was just a gag reflex. Poor thing I can't say that I blame him. Oatmeal is horrid! I am not sure that my kids will eat it much of it. That is, of course, subject to change as I age and experience how economical it may be.

I am to be an English tutor in a few weeks. Have I ever mentioned that English is not my strong point. I actually don't have a strong point in my studies. I guess right now it could be Chemistry. I have always loved science. Well not earth science or light. I have yet to truly understand light and earth science is boring. Who wants to learn about the different kinds of dirt? I know it is helpful apologetically but it doesn't make me think much more interesting. Enough rambling. English isn't usually my thing but I can label the different components of a sentence and that is all I am being called to teach as of right now. After that I will learn with my students. It won't hurt me and I am fully capable of doing so.

Please pray for my dad's job.

Oh yeah I have a humorous video at the bottom of my blog now. The lady in it is the one who wrote our Children's Easter drama.

Conquer the equasion I must....

So mom's pulling Nopee's loose tooth and she (Nope) is coming apart, screamin' bloody murder. It was as if she was in labor (and doing a bad job by the way). I had a hold of her hand while mom wiggled and twisted the tooth. She isn't so great at following directions and with her free hand, after being commanded not to, she pulls moms hand down and out comes the tooth. Now Nopee is the "toothless wonder".

There is a balance equasion that I just can't seem to conquer. Maybe it is too late at night or I am just out of practice.

Tommorrow night we are having a children's church meeting at our house. I am in charge of music. I want to add some songs but I am no good at introducing them. I guess I'll figure it out. I had to get new music cuase the stuff we had was.... bluck. I have issues with people making children into mini adults. They need to be kids. They need to learn things in their songs. Their songs need to teach them about who God is and what he has done. Call me psyco conservative but I like Bible story songs for children. I don't think that there should be such a thing as Childrens church. I think that kids should go to church with mom and dad. But dad is head of puppet ministry and puppets do childrens church. He and two of my siblings are involved and then I was asked to sub for a week and have basically been given the music leader position if I am willing to take it.(Basically, I got completmented on how well I did and was asked to come back. I was so unprepared!) I dislike the way things are run right now (my dad does too). There hasn't been enough supervision and chaos has reigned. Dad is in charge of puppets as I have said and he can't be everywhere at once. We have some help but it is young and needs some direction. Dad is now in charge so we intend to change some things. I think I am going to start using Songs for Saplings music and some Bible action songs (Father Abraham,River of Life, My Jesus is a river of love, etc). I came in the first week with the Bible action songs. Kids participated and payed attention. Most of the kids know me and know that with me you obey or you get in trouble so it shouldn't be long before we have little to no talking when a leader is talking. If you have any ideas at all please tell me. Lana you work with kids at the river walk. Suggestions? I have found that the kids really need to know what they are saying or they get bored. They also have to have some interaction durring the music hence the Bible songs. Last week I introduced the sword drill and this next week we are going to talk about one of our songs ( It is based on Micah6:8). We'll see what happens. I would like to be able to correlate music with lesson. I have ideas.... but I need more.

I actually didn't intend to write so much about that. I must finnish my chemistry. I will have almost no time to do school tomorrow. Ick. I actually want to do school. (gasp) Actually I just want to graduate and if I do no school I can't do that. I will admit that school is interesting. It is the tests and such that I dread. Grades, oh, grades! Enough drama for this post.

It's a hybrid.

In Chemistry today I found out that I am a chapter behind. Apparently I didn't' get the memo that we were to be going into chapter 9 this week and were to have done chapter8 last. Good thing is Mr. H lectured us basically all of chapter 8 in class and it wasn't difficult. Phew! I started the chapter this afternoon and skipped the first section and did the problems with ease.

Today I asked Mr. H about our projects and he said that we could do them with our table! Yeah-ha a group project. It means less work per individual. My arms flung up in a cheerleader V and my voice rang out " I love you!" when he told us. We also have a paper on water to start next week. He isn't regulating when we start that but I intend (intend being the key word) to start that early and get it done in a timely manner.

Yesterday at church I heard a fact that I think is quite comical. Our youth pastor's itty bitty that is about J. Alan's age calls me his mommy. Her mom has tried to explain it but the dear child doesn't get it. She thinks that I am his mommy.

Hybrid- the offspring of two animals or plants of different species or varieties.

When you see the word hybrid, if you are a guy, your mind jumps first to cars and as a girl I think of plants but did you know that word can also be used in reference to animals? It is one of my spelling words this week and when I read the definition it sorta weirded me out. "What kind of dog do you have?" 'It's a hybrid.' How weird of an answer would that be?

I am off to Meaggy's blog to let Beans watch a video.

Yesterday

Hola peoples!

Yesterday we had a surprise b-day party for Britter. She was quite surprised. We sat at the coffee shop till about 11:15 last night. The moms showed up around 10 and then proceeded to sit down and talk to CK about college and babies. Fun, fun! I didn't want to leave. Muy grande fun. (I have no clue how to to use that Spanish thankyouverymuch)

Last night Beans didn't sleep to well. She kept waking up. The first time I was still awake enough to put her in bed with me til she calmed down then I put her back. The second time I was in a really good dream and she woke me up. grrr. I got up to check to see if she had her sassy. (She just walked in here to me with a whole apple. Nice) She was fine but I couldn't make her happy and I was too sleepy to let her sleep with me (I'd sqush'er). Daddy took pity on the poor child, I was gonna make her stay in her bed and cry herself to sleep, and got her up.

Yesterday I worked much of the day. I earned a fair amount of money and it was easy so, hey. I will tell anyone who was thinking about cleaning houses is monotonous. It bores me like crazy. At least kids change. But it is a job that I otherwise wouldn't have and I am NOT complaining. I like that income thankyouverymuch.

Did I tell you that my camera now works cause I ordered a battery charger? Yes I did cause who knows what happened to mine. Oh well I am only out ten bucks with shipping so....

I went to the ballgame Monday. We WON! Yes, ladies and gents, all three of our teams won! Sorry FAITH. Ok not really cause...yeah. I didn't get any good pictures. I had Beanie most of the time. She sat and listened to Britter's mp3 for a while and, during the last 5 minutes, played with an L batman (thank you again Lana :smooch:). Good Night she was busy. She almost baptised the man in front of us and almost fell down the bleachers once. She'd crawl into my lap and then move out and try to go here and there. Ahhh Beans! She was clingy that night (sounds oximoronish ey) . She didnt' really want anyone other than me to hold her. Weird this is for our social flutterby. She didn't even like Lukey! Her man! What has gotten into that girl? lol

"This is the end of my song..... " Ok ya'll don't know that song. This is the end of my post. Bye ya'll.

Birthday Beanie!

Yesterday was a horrible day. I had an attitude that vacuumed the whole day but didn't realize it was so bad 'til that evening. I hate crappy attitudes. So why is it that I allow myself to be subject to them? War with the flesh. Come now Lady do what is right.I'm trying Or so I think. If I would just take my eyes off myself....

Yesterday we had two extras. Kelley had been with us all day and another little girl came for the afternoon. Can you say chaotic? Beanie's birthday dinner was last night so Grandpa came to town. That means that the dog came. Kelly is terrified of animals as evident by the look of fright that shrouded her little face. So the key was to keep Kelly and the dog away from each other. Ya have to know that the dog is a shi tzue. It wouldn't hurt anyone and isn't interested in Kelley at all. Well the dog got out of it's encampment and came into the room where Kelley was. She started to freak out and I became frankensitter. "Kelly! I know you are afraid of that dog but you need to stop the right now. That dog is not going to hurt you. It wants nothing to do with you. You need to settle down. Do you understand me?" Insert sending a child to take care of the dog. " Kelly it is Ok. I will get rid of the dog. You don't have to like it you just can't pitch a fit and come apart. It's all right baby." Kelly was not afraid of that dog at the end of the day. She even called it so she could pet it. She was a little timid and I was willing that we should keep her entirely separated from that dog but she was not going to come apart.

I found out that my gun is really wood and it was only in two pieces and not three and it is a Remington. And it is way pretty cause I looked at it again this morning. Dad took it to grandpa's to put it together. Dad wasn't sure how.

I went to Britter's for our annual Christmas get together. I know, I know it is the new year but we couldn't get together before Christmas so we had to make due with after. I got a cute skirt, Jane Austen's novels in one volume and some other stuff. Bother girls loved the presents I got for them. Brit got a candle and LLB got three decks of cards (she collects them). I lost track of time and got home late. For some reason that only happens at their house. I hate being irresponsible. It means I get in trouble. Thank goodness my mom is gracious and merciful and wondermous and it wasn't much trouble. Thanks mommy. You don't know how much I appreciate it. While I was there I finished knitting the shrug that I started yesterday afternoon. I have to sew the sleeves and then it will be done. I am anxious to wear it. I am not sure what I will wear it with first. I do know that I have to wait till spring.

Going back to Beanie's birthday. She loved opening her presents (she liked the presents too). I wish ya'll coulda seen her face. My camera was dead so I didn't get any pictures. Mommy made her a cake. It was chocolate with cocolate and pink icing. Yummers. And, as she doesn't have a favorite dinner yet,we made spehgetti. Good night that baby is cute, wrotten too but, mostly cute.

I must go for my time is up. The clock is about to strike 8:40 and if I am not off of the computer I will be bannished from it's prsence! Night Ya'll!

The good and the bad... but the bad first

My New Year's ever was fantastical! But as the title states there is bad news on this the first day of the new year. I like to have the bad news told to me first so that is how I will tell ya'll.

Beans Louise is sick. The poor thing was trowing up this morning. She has a high feber and has been sluggish all day. She didn't get up till about 2? This is, of course, what I have been told considering I didn't get home till 3:30. Beanie doesn't feel well as is evident by her blue/back eyes.

On to good new. Last night I went to the Family of 9+2's house. O MY GOODNESS! It has been a while since I have had so much fun! We had THE best time. I tagged along with some friends and ended up being a (good) surprise for the hosts. (I thought my ride said that I was coming. Oops!) People talked for a while then we played catch-phrase, Mad Gab, and Four-On-A-Couch.

While I was at the afore mentioned home my family had guests at our house. I hear they had fun and no trips to the emergency room so I think it went well.

After my party, I went home with my ride. We stayed up talking till 4:30ish. Twas a bit late I admit but.... Hanny went to sleep around 2:45 but Mary wasn't done chatting till later. I awoke fairly early this morning at a 9:3o. I then proceeded to roll over and tell my self that it was too early to arise after being up so...early. At 10:15 I could no long bear lying in bed so I got up and turned on the light and said " ok. It is 10:14 and I must get up my body won't let me sleep anymore!" We talked for 15 minutes before we actually got dressed and went up stairs.
The Rose parade was on but I didn't avidly watch it. Mary and I were looking up new production to put on instead. Then we watched a movie.

Around 2:30 dad came and picked me up. We went to Lowes in hopes of finding a dishwasher. Oh Yeah, that is more bad news, our dishwasher doesn't work. Then we went to the other Lowes but twas of no profit. After that we were off to Walmart where we got a cable to hook up the Internet to my Lappy. Yeah now my lappy has Internet and we are at this very moment putting virus protection on it. Then we went to Best Buy in hopes of finding a USB hub. We found one but it was more expensive than it needed to be so we decided against buying it. You see my dears, it wasn't the "Best Buy".

Continuing on the topic of my lappy. We bought a external hard drive for it b/c it is ancient and holds very little. Soon I will have that hooked up and will be able to put pictures on that and have room to edit them! O Happy day. Look I can make a train with my words.. Going from one Christmas present to another. My family went to a friend's house on Sunday and I was able to get a gun case. Now I can put my gun together! Yeah! I need to shoot it so that I my adrenaline won't spike so badly. When my adrenaline goes up then I begin to shake. Not so good when one holds a gun. They still scare me a bit. The noise is what gets me. I can never brace myself for the sound. Oh well I'll learn. I also need to shoot it so that can hit a stationary target. It would help if I had some arm strength. This is what big cans of tomato soup are for; work outs!

Dad is making fish sticks and onion rings for the kids for dinner. It smells... interesting. I have very recently gotten fairly sensitive to smells. They are bothering me more than they used to. It isn't to the point of nauseousness but I am noticing them. Who know.

I now declare that this post is long enough. Love to all and too all a wonderful God centered new year!
